Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Crux AI collects, why, and how to control it.
What we collect
- Account info (email, name) via our authentication provider, Clerk.
- Climbing videos and the frames extracted from them, plus optional details you add (grade, discipline, goal, notes, crux timestamp).
- The AI-generated coaching report for each analysis.
- Billing information, handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card number.
- Basic usage data (e.g. page views) for understanding how the product is used.
Third-party processors
We rely on the following providers to run the Service:
- Clerk — authentication and account management.
- Supabase — database storage for your account and analyses.
- Cloudflare R2 — storage for uploaded video/frame files.
- OpenAI — generates coaching feedback from your video frames.
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
- Inngest — runs the background job that processes your analysis.
These providers may process data outside your country of residence. Each operates under its own privacy policy and security practices.
Video & data retention
Uploaded video and frame files are automatically deleted 30 days after an analysis is created. The generated text report is kept so you can still view your analysis history after that point. If you delete your account, all of your data — including any remaining media, analyses, and reports — is permanently deleted.
Cookies
We use authentication cookies (set by Clerk) to keep you signed in, and a short-lived, first-party referral cookie to attribute gym/affiliate sign-up codes. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Your rights
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings. This permanently removes your account, uploaded media, analyses, reports, and billing linkage. If you'd like a copy of your data instead, or have any other request, contact us below.
Children's privacy
Crux AI is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time; material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
