Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Crux AI. If you are under 18, you confirm you have a parent or legal guardian's permission to use the Service.

2. The Service

Crux AI lets you upload short video clips of a climbing attempt and receive AI-generated coaching feedback (technique observations, suggested beta, and drills). Feedback is generated automatically by a third-party AI vision model based on frames extracted from your video and the details you provide. It is informational only and is not a substitute for in-person coaching, supervision, or professional instruction. See our Safety Disclaimer.

3. Accounts

You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Subscriptions, Credits & Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. Each plan grants a fixed number of analysis credits per billing cycle; unused credits do not roll over and reset on renewal. You can cancel anytime from the billing portal — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we do not provide partial-period refunds except where required by law. We may change pricing with reasonable advance notice; continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to upload only your own climbing video content (or content you have permission to use), and not to: upload illegal, sexual, violent, or otherwise inappropriate content; upload video of identifiable people without their consent; attempt to abuse, overload, or circumvent rate limits or usage caps on the Service; reverse-engineer or scrape the Service; or use the Service to generate content that violates the rights of others. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of the videos and images you upload. By uploading, you grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to provide the Service (including sending video frames to our AI provider for analysis). See our Privacy Policy for how long we keep it.

7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AI-generated feedback may be inaccurate or incomplete and should not be relied upon as your sole source of coaching or safety guidance. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any injury arising from climbing activity, whether or not informed by feedback from the Service.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above; continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.
